Build the Business. Grow the Asset. Create Long-Term Impact.
Cedric Burl & Company believes community impact should be built into the economics of the business rather than treated only as an occasional donation.
The Cedric Burl Impact Reserve is a privately controlled business-wide impact strategy designed to allocate a portion of qualifying business income into a long-term reserve intended to grow, compound, and create a recurring source of support for selected causes over time.
The long-term operating principle is simple:
Earn → Allocate → Invest → Compound → Share a Portion of Proceeds → Continue Growing
A Business-Wide Impact Strategy
The Impact Reserve is not tied to one product, one affiliate program, or one revenue source.
Qualifying income may come from consulting revenue, recurring-revenue programs, referral or affiliate income, real-estate-related activity, investments, business distributions, digital products, and other approved sources.
The objective is to create an economic engine that can support both long-term asset growth and community impact.
How The Model Is Designed To Work
Cedric Burl & Company may designate a percentage of qualifying net business income for the Impact Reserve.
The current working target is approximately 10%, subject to cash flow, taxes, business conditions, strategic priorities, and professional guidance.
Amounts allocated to the Reserve are intended to be held in a separately tracked account, reserve, or properly structured investment vehicle.
As the Reserve grows, a portion of future net investment proceeds may be reinvested, retained by the business, and allocated to Community Impact.
The guiding principle is to preserve and grow the underlying asset while sharing a portion of what the asset produces.
Areas Of Impact
Cedric Burl & Company intends to support categories of impact rather than permanently naming one nonprofit beneficiary.
Priority areas may include:
- Cancer and prostate cancer
- Alzheimer's and dementia
- Vertigo and balance disorders
- Brain aneurysm and cerebrovascular health
- Domestic violence and family safety
- Homelessness, housing stability, and workforce pathways
- HBCU education and advancement
- Responsible AI and human-centered technology
- Veterans and military families
- Community and faith-based impact
Specific organizations may change from year to year based on available funds, priorities, due diligence, and evidence of impact.
Due Diligence Before Distribution
Before an organization receives support, Cedric Burl & Company intends to evaluate factors such as:
- Mission alignment
- Legal and tax status
- Leadership and governance
- Financial transparency
- Proposed use of funds
- Reputation and controversy risk
- Evidence of impact
- Alignment with Cedric Burl & Company's values
Being considered does not guarantee that an organization will receive support.
Impact Without Destroying The Asset
The long-term vision is different from making one-time contributions and starting over each year.
The objective is to build a reserve that can continue to grow and potentially produce recurring impact.
Business creates income.
Income creates assets.
Assets may produce investment income.
A portion of investment income can create impact.
The underlying asset is intended to keep working.
Annual Impact Reporting
As the program develops, Cedric Burl & Company may publish a simplified annual Impact Report showing information such as:
- Amount contributed to the Impact Reserve
- Ending Reserve balance
- Investment proceeds generated
- Amount distributed to causes
- Number of organizations supported
- Categories supported
Recipient organizations may be identified publicly after contributions have actually been made and verified.
Important Distinctions
The Cedric Burl Impact Reserve is currently a privately controlled business strategy.
It is not being presented as a public investment fund, nonprofit organization, charitable foundation, donor-advised fund, public charity, or investment opportunity for customers or the general public.
Cedric Burl & Company is not soliciting outside investors or charitable donations through the Impact Reserve unless a separate legally compliant structure is established in the future.
Purchases, subscriptions, consulting fees, and other customer payments are commercial transactions. They should not be considered charitable contributions unless expressly stated under a separate formal arrangement.
Organizations referenced within an impact category should not be considered sponsors, partners, beneficiaries, or endorsers unless a formal relationship has actually been established.
The Long-Term Vision
The long-term objective is to grow the Impact Reserve into a meaningful asset capable of producing recurring community impact.
Future phases may include evaluating whether a separate foundation, donor-advised charitable structure, trust, endowment, or other philanthropic vehicle becomes appropriate.
Any future legal, tax, investment, or charitable structure will be established only after appropriate professional review.
Business With Purpose
Cedric Burl & Company is building a business designed to create value for clients, long-term enterprise value for the company, and a disciplined pathway for supporting causes that matter.
The goal is not simply to give once.
The goal is to build something that can keep giving.
