Why Black Farmers Are Still Fighting for Fairness — And How Targeted Support Can Protect Land, Increase Opportunity, and Strengthen Generational Wealth
For more than a century, Black farmers across the United States have endured discrimination, lack of access to credit, unfair treatment by lending institutions, and systemic barriers that make it difficult to acquire land, expand operations, or even keep the farms their families have held for generations.
The Southeast — places like Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Florida — remains the region where these issues show up most prominently. But the truth is simple: Black farmers face these challenges everywhere in America.
Today, many of the same patterns still exist:
The result?
Black farmers make up less than 2% of all farmers in the country today — a direct reflection of decades of unequal access to resources and justice.
But there are solutions, and farmers deserve clear pathways toward growth, fairness, and financial security.
The services I provide were built to directly address the areas where Black farmers continue to be blocked.
Challenge #1: Access to Land and Affordable Acreage
Land is the foundation of farming — and it has also been the first target of discrimination.
For years, Black farmers have been steered away from affordable acreage, denied access to listings, or left out of opportunities before they were publicly available.
Compounding the issue, many distressed farmland opportunities — such as tax-delinquent land, pre-foreclosure farms, or parcels held by absentee owners — are never openly advertised.
This is why I developed a Farmland Discovery & Acquisition Intelligence System designed to uncover:
Black farmers deserve access to the same high-level acquisition intelligence that institutional buyers use — and now, for the first time, they can.

Challenge #2: Denied Loans and Lack of Operational Support
Even when farmers qualify for loans, new challenges often appear:
These requirements alone can delay or kill a loan deal — especially for small or under-resourced farms.
Black farmers are denied USDA loans at more than three times the rate of white farmers. Sometimes the denial is discriminatory. Sometimes it’s because the farmer simply didn’t have the administrative systems lenders expect.
To solve that gap, I offer farm automation and workflow support, helping farmers:
It is not enough to have the land — farmers need efficient, clean operations to stay competitive and protect themselves.

Challenge #3: Legal Barriers, Foreclosure Threats & Historic Discrimination
Denied loans, discriminatory treatment, errors in paperwork, or unfair actions by agencies can leave farmers vulnerable to:
Many Black farmers feel stuck because they don’t know how to approach the legal system, where to start, or what documents matter.
This is where my Legal Support & Advocacy Service comes in.
I help farmers:
Cases involving historical discrimination, administrative injustice, or improper foreclosure require more than emotion — they require structure, strategy, and credible representation.

The Southeast Is Not the Only Battleground — But It Is the Frontline
Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, and both Carolinas have some of the highest concentrations of Black farmers in the nation — and historically, the highest levels of discrimination in lending, USDA program access, and land security.
But make no mistake:
Black farmers in the Midwest, Northeast, and West Coast face many of the same structural challenges.
No matter where a farm is located, the barriers look similar — and so do the solutions.
Where Do You Go From Here?
If you are a farmer facing any of these issues…
If you want to expand but can’t get access to the right land…
If you’re tired of being denied or overlooked…
If you want to protect your family’s legacy and your future…
You do not need to navigate this alone.
I provide three powerful pathways to help farmers thrive:
Each service was designed with today’s Black farmers in mind — because the challenges you face are not only financial.
They are historical, generational, and systemic.
But together, we can change the outcome.
